The enterprising kids at Pitchfork have decided that after curating 2005's Intonation Festival, and doing a SXSW showcase, that their next big move would be to create their own festival. Aptly naming it the Pitchfork Music Festival to avoid confusion over who owns the joint, they moved on to create a highly regarded festival.
They've announced the dates for the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival, and it will take place on July 18th-20th in its native Union Park in Chicago. Tickets are available starting on March 12th: a three-day pass is $65, a two-day pass is $50, and a one day pass is $30.
