Sonic Youth And Friends Record Dylan Cover For Film

Sonic Youth have recorded a version of the Bob Dylan song I'm Not There for a movie also titled I'm Not There. The film is written and directed by Todd Haynes and will tell tales of Dylan's life through seven different characters.
Recording was done at the Sonic Youth's own Echo Canyon studio with John Agnello and Aaron Mullan from Tall Firs.
Lee Renaldo is doing some other Dylan songs for the film. He's assembled Tom Verlaine, John Medeski, Tony Garnier, and Steve Shelley along with guest vocalists Stephen Malkmus, Karen O, Eddie Vedder and Mira Billotte.
