What do you get when DC punk label Dischord, Inner Ear Studios and Ruffian Records hook up together? Free studio time for bands as a public service, that's what.
Titled The DC Free Recording Project, Dischord will give DC-area bands a chance to get into a studio and make a recording, for free. All bands will get 5 hours of time to make the best of, and when they walk out, they'll have a recording.
They'll start out with 10 available slots, with Hugh McElroy from Swim-Two-Birds Studio at the helm. Bands can go to http://www.dcfrp.com/ for more details and to make a submission
