Stephen McBean's Pink Mountaintops have announced a small set of dates that will take them up and down the west coast in December, playing in support of a new 7" single, to be released in February of 2007 on Jagjaguwar Records. The single will feature the songs Single Life and My Best Friend.
The music flows along with a slow motion gaze into a mystical otherworld of spirituality and hypnotism. Pink Mountaintops could easily have been a house band for Andy Warhol's Factory. It's all droney keyboards and hazey aeshtetics.
Pink Mountaintops will be playing with well-heeled bands like Wolfmother, Kinski, Darker My Love, and Menomena, depending on location.
